Jaime Matute-Bardales

Mastery High School Graduate

Rutgers University - New Brunswick

Jaime Matute-Bardales is a graduate of Mastery High

School of Mexican heritage. Despite challenges with adjusting

to in-person learning throughout the COVID-19

Pandemic, Jaime demonstrated resilience, dedication,

and thoughtfulness in his work. He graduated with Perfect

Attendance and Distinguished Honors all four years and

involved himself in the Homework Club, E-Sports Club,

and Robotics Club. Teachers noted his unique ability to

engage in discourse, involve himself in research, and his

willingness to meet challenges with a positive attitude.

Through the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship fund, Jaime

Matute received a $1,000 scholarship to assist with the

expenses and costs of pursuing higher education. In the

Fall of 2022, Jaime enrolled at Rutgers University-New

Brunswick with a major in Computer Science.
