Ashly Estevez-Perez

President

Ashly Estevez-Perez is a formerly undocumented immigrant who grew up in the city of Camden. Her experiences navigating the immigration system, attending the public school system and experiencing high-crime rates pushed her to address issues facing those from challenging socio economics through public service. She graduated from Rutgers University-Camden with a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies and continued her education with a  Masters in Public Administration. Currently, she works for the Biden-Harris Administration in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Secretary and is a Founder of Movimiento Tricolor. 

Ruth Perez

Director of Events

Ruth Perez is a mother, wife, community organizer and owner of a small local business Great Gifts. In 2004, she immigrated from the Dominican Republic to the U.S. in search of social and economic prosperity for her family. Upon her arrival to the U.S, she managed a local corner store ensuring that residents had access to fresh and necessary foods while engaging with everyday residents hearing their concerns. She then became a Home Health Aid for various health agencies ensuring seniors had the necessary supplies and care for their well being. Ruth developed a need to help the community around her as she went onto ensuring healthy foods for corner stores through her role at the Food Trust and founded Movimiento Tricolor to help those from similar backgrounds to ensure their social and economic prosperity.

Jennifer Rodriguez

Secretary

Jennifer is dedicated to mentoring and providing opportunities for youth to succeed. Besides her field work, Jennifer is involved in a pre college access program where she helps manage mentoring sites at participating high schools. She also prepares college visits to provide added exposure to the students. Jennifer is also Movimiento Tricolor’s secretary and has participated in coordinating events like the Independence Day Gala and the yearly Restoration Day event.

Maria Espinal-Mena

Treasurer

Maria Espinal-Mena was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old. She attended Camden County College, where she obtained her Associates Degree in Business Administration and later on finished her Bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University with honors. Her prior experience includes administrative work, accounting, management, and bookkeeping. Maria is currently working for an accounting firm, where she has different roles as an administrative assistant.

Angel Florentino

Public Relations

Angel Florentino is a Camden City native who grew up in McGuire Gardens. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in Marketing with a minor in Digital Studies and concentration in Social Media. He has a background in sales and marketing. His prior experiences include working as a freelance consultant and Influencer Coordinator.

Ronald Estevez-Perez

Media Director

Ronald Estevez is a filmmaker born in the Dominican Republic who migrated as a child to the United States. With the desire to keep a connection with his culture, he developed a passion for filmmaking. Today, he is a seasonal producer for NFL Films, where he works on films and shows such as Hard Knocks, Peyton's Places, Top 100, and NFL Presents. He is also the founder of RE Films, a production company based in the greater Philadelphia area. When he founded RE Films, his first mission was to highlight the positive aspects within the disadvantaged and underserved community of Camden, New Jersey, where he grew up. Now, he is invested deeper into all aspects of the communities, and he values the importance of leading such a significantly medium. Working alongside small businesses, foundations, musicians, and all crucial components of the communities.
