EVERY LANGUAGE. EVERY VOICE

WHAT IS LANGUAGE JUSTICE?

Language justice is the belief that everyone has the right to communicate, understand, and participate fully in society in the language they feel most comfortable using.

For many Spanish-speaking residents, language barriers can limit access to essential services such as healthcare, education, legal resources, and government programs. These barriers often prevent families from receiving the support they need or participating fully in their communities.

Movimiento Tricolor’s Language Justice Initiative works to identify these barriers and advocate for solutions that ensure services are accessible to all. By addressing these barriers, the Language Justice Initiative helps ensure that language does not prevent individuals from accessing opportunities or participating in decision-making that affects their lives.
